They did it again!! (and again!) AND AGAIN

15th March 2024

A few days ago I posted about receiving a package from Amazon addressed to the previous owner of our house.

THEY SENT ANOTHER ONE TO OUR ADDRESS

This is just ridiculous. And again the guy ran off so I couldn't just not accept it. If I call Amazon again am I just going to end up with a third package??

I called the customer service line again and theoretically they're going to have someone collect the parcel next week. It's all just so baffling, they've not lived here for six years! Have they just not used Amazon in all that time? Or maybe they did go back to Poland for a few years and only just started using amazon.co.uk again?

Update 16 Mar 2024:
Just got home from a day with the in-laws to find a third Amazon package leaning against our front door.

I'm not calling again, but if someone does come to collect package #2 next week they'll be getting a whole pile at this rate.

Update 19 Mar 2024: Parcel #4
Today I managed to catch the delivery guy before he ran off and after much protesting (and calling his boss) I got him to take this package away. I couldn't convince him to take the other two sitting in my porch, and I am filled with rage.
HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP???

What I remember of the conversation:

Me: "Wait, can you come back?"
Delivery Guy: "Huh?" *points to package*
Me: "Yeah, can you come back please?"
DG: "What?"
Me: "This isn't my package, can you take it back?"
DG: "It's the right address"
Me: "I know, but this guy doesn't live here"
DG: "But it's the right address, I delivered it"
Me: "Yes but we keep getting these packages and customer service said they'd send someone to take them back"
DG: "I don't collect I just deliver"
Me: "Ok, well I want to refuse delivery"
DG: "Look, I delivered it in the app"
Me: "I don't care what your app says, I'm refusing delivery, please take it back"

He reluctantly takes the package and walks off, I close my door thinking I'm done. Another knock.

DG: "I called my boss, he says I can take this one back. Do you know who this is?"
Me: "He used to own the house, but he hasn't lived here in 6 years, I don't have any other information"
DG: *walking away* "He paid for it, right? Just keep it"
Me: "I don't want this stuff! Thanks"

Update 25 Mar 2024:
Two more parcels refused. One via Royal Mail last Friday, and one through Evri this afternoon. At least they took them without a fuss (I do like the Evri delivery guy, he's very personable).

Called Amazon again about the two in the porch, they said keep them. So husband is now the very proud owner of a chonky torch, I have a mini-torch clipped to my dog-walking bag, a friend is getting a new air fryer cookbook, and there is a pack of toner cartridges sat on my coffee table.
